People First is our third strategic focus area, because everything we do revolves around people. It is about creating a positive environment for all the individuals who enter our hotels and hostels daily, whether they are guests, employees, partners, or visitors stopping by.

As a family-owned company built on principles of personal integrity and ethical business practices, the happiness of our employees has always been a key success factor for us. Simply put, it requires satisfied and fulfilled individuals to provide excellent service and create the great guest experiences that Arp-Hansen Hotel Group is known for.

A significant part of our ESG efforts is therefore based on a fundamental prioritization of people and their well-being, encompassing physical, professional, mental, financial, and social aspects - both within our organization and throughout our value chain.

Today, we have a strong culture and various structures in place to ensure the well-being, motivation, sense of community, and pride of our employees. This is believed to be one of the reasons why we have an average length of service of 4.4 years compared to 2.5 years in the industry (2024) – and that is something we take pride in.
